The new financial allocation to support E.U. research and development projects amounts to 100 billion euros, of which 97.6 will go to Horizon Europe, the new and ambitious research and innovation program proposed by the European Commission.
Horizon Europe - the new E.U. proposal for research and development funding and related to programming 2021-2027 - will replace Horizon 2020 in the 2021-2027 programming and will finance projects presented by companies in partnership with other companies or public/private bodies (primarily) in the following areas: health, inclusive and safe society, digital industry, climate, energy and mobility, food and natural resources. The remaining € 2.4 billion will be used to finance the Euratom program.
