Articoli Correlati: Switzerland - anti-monery laundering - blockchain sector

In the official Communication n. 2/2019, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority - FINMA - explains how it applies the anti-money laundering provisions in force in Switzerland to financial service providers in the blockchain sector subject to its supervision. In principle, these institutes can only send cryptocurrencies or other tokens to external wallets of their clients, already identified, and only from these accept cryptocurrencies or tokens. Instead, it is not possible to receive/send tokens from/to customers of other institutions, until information on the sender or the recipient can be reliably transmitted. FINMA has also granted a banking authorization and a license to trade securities to two new blockchain financial service providers, which will offer services to institutional and professional clients.
