On 26 March 2020, the E.U. Court of Justice, with the “Kreissparkasse Saarlouis judgment”, in case C 66/19, ruled that consumer credit agreements must clearly and concisely mention the methods for calculating the withdrawal deadline, specifying that for mandatory information, the communication of which to the consumer determines the moment from which the withdrawal deadline is calculated, a reference “per relationem” to a national standard is not sufficient, which in turn refers to other national standards.
