The date on which the new Securitisation Regulation is into force since September 23^rd, 2020, as it was announced by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on September 4^th, 2020. In order to guarantee the best implementation and enforcement of its provisions, the Official Journal of the European Union issued seven technical standards publication that allow the opening of applications for entities to register as Securitisation Repository (SR) and the entry into force of new disclosure templates. This new version of Repository, namely the Securitisation Repository, will have the function to keep record of securitisations and will be registered and supervised by ESMA. Consequently, all institutions who want to be registered as SR and monitored by ESMA have now the possibility to do so from September 23^rd, 2020. In order to do so, ESMA has developed a set of securitisation disclosure templates to improve and standardise the information made available to investors, potential investors and competent authorities, that will also be made available from September 23^rd.
