Articoli Correlati: ESAs - cyber risk - event-driven risks
According to the second joint risk report for 2021, drafted jointly by the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA - ESAs) and published on September 8th, 2021, there are increasing vulnerabilities with reference to the financial sector, with specific concern towards cyber risk and the materialization of event-driven risks. The crisis of the financial sector is no news to the European authorities after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and despite the positive trends there remains an uncertainty for what concerns the financial sector both at a European and at a national level. One of the risks that creates difficulties for the financial sector is cyber risk, since such sector has been hit by cyber-attacks more often than other sectors, while across the digital economy, cyber-criminals are developing new techniques to exploit vulnerabilities. Eventually, the materialization of event-driven risks may create doubts about increased risk-taking behaviour.
