On October 8th, 2021, the WTO Secretariat issued two information notes on the COVID-19 vaccines and, specifically, one on the tariffs and production and the other one on the updating of the “Indicative list of trade-related bottlenecks and trade-facilitating measures on critical products to combat COVID-19”, that was previously published on July 20th, 2021. The first paper is based on the Joint Indicative List of Critical COVID-19 Vaccine Inputs for Consultation (Version 1.0) and it analyses the most-favoured nation (MFN) tariffs and imports of these products with reference to the 27 top vaccine-manufacturing economies. This process was made in order to verify the difficulties or possible issues that arise in the management of the manufacturing of the vaccines. The second document, that is an update of the previous paper, is a summary of the analyzed issues and of the opinions of the stakeholders that they expressed during different events organized by the WTO.
