On 22 February 2022, the third section of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), with a sentence, condemned Russia for the violation of articles 5 and 9 of the European Convention of Human Rights, having not respected the right and freedom of religion as well as security and freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
