Articoli Correlati: U.K. - immigration - modification of rules

On 18 October 2022, in the U.K., the Home Office has published a new Statement of Changes concerning changes to the rules on immigration. These changes affect many categories of visas. First, expansion of the Seasonal Workers pathway which has been amended to include new roles within the poultry production sector for the period 18 October to 31 December each year. This is to support the sector during the Christmas holidays. Ukraine Extension Scheme which allows Ukrainian citizens who, on 18 March 2022, were in possession of an entry or residence permit, to be able to remain in the United Kingdom, obtaining a permit valid for 36 months. Abolition of the Police Registration Scheme. Previously, individuals from certain countries, aged 16 or over, had to register with the police following obtaining a residence permit valid for more than six months under specific immigration routes. As a result of changes to immigration rules and the U.K. immigration system in general, many people are screened before arriving in the U.K. There is therefore no need for the police to collect the same data after a person has already entered the U.K. Changes to the Global Talent pathway dedicated to talented and promising people in the fields of science, digital technology, arts and culture who wish to work in the UK. Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are a leader in their field of specialization, or have the potential to become a leader. Changes to Global Business Mobility paths. The Service Supplier path is a sub-category of the Global Business Mobility path. The Service Supplier visa can be applied for by those who have a contract for the provision of services for a U.K. company, as employees of a foreign company or as foreign freelancers. The route will also be accessible to citizens of Australia and New Zealand who provide services under free trade agreements with these countries. Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents who provide services under the Australia Free Trade Agreement will be able to stay in the U.K. for up to 12 months at a time.
