On 4 October 2022, the EU Court of Justice ruled that deadlines for opposing a European injunction can be interrupted by decision of Member States adopting specific procedural measures following the pandemic. The internal acts which, however, move the procedural deadlines envisaged by the EU regulation 1896/2006 which establishes a European payment order procedure, amended by 2015/2421, in force since 14 July 2017, must respect the principle of equivalence and effectiveness.
